Jake is a local boy, born in Ipswich and has been part of the local food scene since the age of 17. Working in an array of award-winning restaurants across Suffolk and Essex during his career, he now calls The Crown and Castle in Orford home, where he has been their Head Chef for four years.

With a focus on using local suppliers and putting quality at the heart of all his dishes, Jake has recently been awarded a 2 AA rosette award for culinary excellence. This is to top off a fantastic year for the Crown and Castle, who were awarded Small Hotel of the Year by the East of England Tourism Awards in March 2023.

He will be joined by Andrew Clements during his demo on the Main Stage on Sunday.
