Shelley returns to the Quay Gallery during the Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival with her collection of remarkable photographs. She has a growing reputation for her striking still lifes featuring food and flowers which offer traditional images with a modern twist.
She is absorbed in the world of slow photography. Each of her photographs is painstakingly composed using the traditions of the classical masters, but with a modern touch. She manipulates natural light to tease out the beauty and texture of her subject - be it an elegant rose or a common cabbage. This exhibition is the fruit of her continuing research and development which has taken her, so far, to Holland, Denmark and, of course, London.
