Romy Gill MBE
Romy Gill MBE is an award-winning chef, author, broadcaster and food and travel
writer, celebrated for her distinctive approach to Indian cuisine and for championing the
diverse regional food traditions of India.
As the former
owner and head chef of Romy’s Kitchen, she earned widespread acclaim for her innovative
cooking and for bringing the diverse regional flavours of India to a wider audience. In
recognition of her services to the hospitality industry, Romy was appointed a Member of the
Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s 90th Birthday Honours in 2016.
Romy is a familiar presence on television and radio in the UK and internationally. She has
contributed extensively to BBC Radio 4.
An accomplished food and travel writer, Romy has contributed to leading publications
including BBC Food, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, The New York Times, Ocado
Magazine, Saveur, Food & Wine and Condé Nast Traveller and much more.
